1. Incorrect Campaign Setup: There are some settings you will want to adjust when you setup an Adwords campaign. By staying with the default settings, you could get unrelated traffic to your website that can ultimately cost you more money and result in fewer sales. If you set your budget too low and/or set up your keywords incorrectly within your adgroup, you could be hurting your campaigns.
2. Keywords Not Targeted: Choose your keywords wisely, no matter what type of advertising you choose, Adwords included. It is best to target low competition, high traffic keywords, people sometimes set up campaigns using keywords that are not targeted and though this may result in traffic, it is less likely to result in sales.

An overall goal should be to set your daily budget to something you can feasibly do, yet have it high enough to ensure a high click through ratio so that your profits pay for your advertising costs.
